MasteryPaths losing elements

Hello everyone,

We recently began utilizing MasteryPaths in Canvas and have been running into a few issues during the course import. To provide some background, our institution uses a "master template" process where we build our course content on a single Canvas course, and then import out to our live sections for each term.

Either during the import process or some kind of other interaction is causing the MasteryPaths to break in our live sections, though we're confident the templates are setup correctly. On the templates we have:

  • The assessment quiz with the paths built out. (We currently use 2 paths, and duplicate 1 of them to fit the 3 required)
  • The MP in course setting is enabled and locked across the account
  • The MP assignments are assigned to MasteryPaths
  • The MP assignments have due dates (the due dates are the same for all students)

However, when the import is completed to the live sections, we're finding the following:

  • The assessment quiz with the paths built out are still there and OK
  • However, the MP assignments have both their MP assignment and the due dates stripped. The MP assignments are left with no due date and assigned to "Everyone"

I attached some screenshots to show a visual representation. Has anyone experienced something similar, or have any tips or suggestions for us in terms of troubleshooting?

Thanks!
