Merged canvas sections, lost grades, any way to recover?

I followed some online instructions that mentioned that unmerging courses with graded work is difficult, but didn't check other websites which mention that grades don't transfer.

Is there anyway to access the old gradebook to get the grades and transfer them to the merged gradebook?

@RafaelSilverman It sounds like you have crosslisted a section from one course into another course. In Canvas, a section is essentially a list of enrollments, and it can be moved from one course to another. You may be able to de-crosslist the section back to its original course. The old assignment submissions & scores are contained in the original course, and de-crosslisting the section will reveal them there. Of course, if the students have submissions & scores in the course into which their section was crosslisted, then de-crosslisting the section will effectively hide these newer submissions and scores. If your goal is to keep the students in their new crosslisted course, you could de-crosslist the section, then export the gradebook from the original course, then recrosslist the section, then enter the grades in the crosslisted course.
