Moving Dismissed Bell List Assignments

Greetings,
Many of our students use the Bell List (the bell notification visible in List View) to keep themselves organized. If they hit the X on an assignment, that assignment is then moved to the Dismissed list and no longer visible unless the student clicks to view Dismissed notifications. This results in incomplete assignments being hidden and potentially forgotten.
Is there a way to move Dismissed lessons back over to the New list? This is an important organizational tool for students and the ability to do this would greatly help students, and the adults that work closely with them as well.
