My teacher can't view my pdf file uploads

I've never had a problem with my teachers being able to view my pdf file uploads. My teacher says that when she clicks on the assignment, my submission should automatically open up- but it doesn't. I have made sure to upload in the correct file format, pdf, but it's not solving the problem for her. I upload them from MacBook, but I don't think it should really matter whether I'm using Mac or Windows. I feel desperate for a solution.

Edit: My teacher also says she needs to see it because she won't download it.

FINAL UPDATE: The solution was to simply use a Windows computer. For some reason, the pdf file I downloaded onto my Macbook was different, I had noticed there was a tiny adobe acrobat logo/symbol on it. When I used Windows, the file had a little logo/symbol that said PDF.  Also, I had downloaded this pdf file from the same source, an online research database that my college has- just using a Windows computer instead of a Mac. That was the difference.

Glad this tiny, but frustrating issue was finally solved!

@AlexCanvas1999 Have you tried resaving the pdf using a different program on your computer? Or using an online pdf converter? One would think all pdfs are the same, but apparently there are different internal structures created by different programs that could be affecting this. What program are you using to generate the pdf?

Hey! So originally I downloaded the pdf file from a research database called EBSCO Host. (It's a pdf of an article/academic journal.) I initially uploaded that, but ran into this problem. So then I took my file and used my MacBook to convert it to a pdf file, even though it was already a pdf file. It made me feel a bit crazy, but again, I'm desperate. Uploaded that- no difference. 

How is one even supposed to be able to tell the difference? I'm so frustrated.

Last night, I called Canvas support and they were able to view my class and all assignments as if they were the teacher- and they said they could view everything fine without having to download anything... they emailed my teacher, I forwarded that email to them too, and inboxed them about that on Canvas. My teacher hasn't responded all day so I'm just gonna have to message them back so they know I got in touch with someone about this. Such a small thing has caused me so much stress because this assignment is 20 points but I've been given a 0.

Based on the edits that you made to your original question, while definitely a frustrating experience, it seems that this has been resolved.
