New Quiz setting to show all possible answers

In new quizzes, I would like for students to be able to see all of the possible answers, especially for questions they missed, so they can send me corrections for partial credit. I do not want them to see which one is correct. Currently they can only see how they answered the questions.

Hi! Have you tried the "Build on last attempt" option that was added not too long ago? In the settings page for a new quiz you can enable that setting and give them multiple attempts. Then, when they go back in to make corrections, it only has them reattempt the ones they got wrong in the previous attempt. It will then also keep their attempt scores together for you to look at. I think that could work for this scenario?

I did consider setting it to accept the first grade, but give two attempts and build on last attempt. I didn't realize the "build on last attempt" only gave the students the incorrect questions. I included one essay type question in the quiz so that I'd receive a notification of submissions -- do you know if I'll receive a notification of a second attempt if that one wasn't incorrect? I'm assuming the view is the same as any other multiple attempt in the speedgrader, so I'd have to go back and forth between the attempts (which is often a glitchy for me) to see which ones the student is correcting. But this may be the best solution.

I'm not sure on the notification, but with the build on last attempt, when you look at the latest attempt, it will actually only show the questions they got wrong/reattempted.

I am attaching a photo showing the first attempt (left) where I see all 11 questions. On the most recent attempt, I only see the two she reattempted (just numbers 8 and 9). So, you won't have to compare them to see which ones were reattempted.

Does that make sense? I feel like I just typed reattempt more times than in my entire life combined. 🙂
