I added my parent account with my sons' special code he gave me.  I poked around a little, then logged off.  In trying to log back in, I was unsuccessful.  Not sure what is going on with that.

I had the same problem.  You have to make sure you are using the D102 login page:  https://sd102.instructure.com/
