I am designing an assignment and really really want Canvas to work, but I just can't see it.
Scenario: Students submit either an assignment or quiz. There are 4 essay questions in the assignment. Students cannot go back to review their submission and they do have a time limit. The submissions are followed by general feedback.
Grading: The essay submissions need to be peer graded anonymously 1 time. Each essay question has its own rubric.
How do I do this?
I have tried quizzes or new quizzes but that won't work with rubrics and peer review. However I need the settings in quizzes for the assignment. Would there be a way to break this up?
Any assistance would be helpful, thanks all.

Hello @LauraFIU_IDT
You may need to consider breaking it up into two parts. One part is the written 'assignment' and that has the peer reviews where they upload their paper. The other part can be the timed quiz with settings enabled so the students don't see any of the correct/incorrect answers after they have submitted it. Your other alternative is to use the "assign to" box at the bottom of a single assignment so the students can't access it after a certain time. However, breaking it up into an assignment and a quiz may be best for what you want - timed quiz without seeing the answers, canvas can grade this automatically, and an assignment with the peer review. I know it's not really ideal but many teachers break up a quiz into two parts so that students can also use peer reviews to view submitted papers - there's no peer reviews on quizzes. Hopefully this helps.
