Prerequisite completed but student can't advance unlock the following module

I've searched the forums but I can't find the solution to this problem.  I have a student who has met the module's prerequisite (a discussion board which I did grade for him) but the next module is still locked.  Other students are able to proceed.  I had him check this in different browsers thinking it might be a cookie/cache issue on his end.  Any suggestions?

The first thing I would do is look at the "View Progress" page ( https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-use-modules-to-view-the-progress-of-stu... ) to confirm that there are not other prerequisites that the student is missing.

I've been having this problem since 2021, particularly when students are using the app (we are a 1:1 iPad school).  I have not received a solution, but it seems to be a known problem... hopefully your post will help trigger a fix!
