Pretty HTML editor in New Quizzes RCE

In New Quizzes, the Pretty HTML editor within the RCE environment does not seem to be as robust as that within Classic Quizzes or elsewhere in Canvas. In these other locations, the RCE offers colorized HTML tags and autocomplete of HTML tags.

From my role as an instructor, it seems as though the New Quizzes environment is (currently) stuck with an earlier, less robust implementation of the Pretty HTML editing tool.

Is this potentially a misconfiguration in our Canvas implementation, or is this truly the state of affairs right now with the New Quizzes RCE? And if the latter, is there a timeline for implementation for the colorized HTML/autocomplete tag functionality within the New Quizzes environment?

I do not have an answer for you. Are you a Canvas admin?

If you are, I would recommend reporting this directly to Canvas Support or your CSM.

If you are not, I would recommend that you reach out to your school's Canvas team for guidance on how to report this.
