QR Code Attendance for Canvas?

Is there a QR code attendance tracker that integrates into Canvas? Someone has said there is, but if it exists I can't find it. The only two attendance trackers I know of that integrates with Canvas are A+ Attendance and Qwickly Attendance.

I know that the University of Central Florida was at one point working on a QR code attendance tracker.  I remember seeing a demo video of it once but don't know if it was ever completed or set up to be available to anyone beyond UCF.   @rseilham ‌ - is there anything you can share about this (cause I want to know too)?

That is true, we have a tool at UCF that we developed called UCF Here. Unfortunately, it's not available outside of UCF at this point. Qwickly is the best solution I've seen that integrates with Canvas. That doesn't mean there are others, and I don't know of any free options.

A QR code attendance tracker that integrates into Canvas would be a great suggestion for a new feature, saving a lot of time. 

Students could scan the QR code on the instructors laptop with their phones when entering the classroom. 

Where / how can i vote for this suggestion? I've been looking through the filters but I can't find it. I'm sorry if this is not the right post on the right topic.

I tried searching the Community for existing ideas that would be similar to @debbie_ellis' above question.  However, I didn't find anything that related.  So, if you wanted to create your own idea, you can do that by following the Guides listed under the heading "Ideas and Themes" located at: Instructure Community Guide - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com).  In particular, take a look at: How do I create a new idea in the Instructure Comm... - Instructure Community - 2986 (canvaslms.com) and How do Ideas and Themes work in the Instructure Co... - Instructure Community - 2980 (canvaslms.com).
