Quiz questions disappear when editing

I have created a Classic quiz with 36 multiple-choice questions.

They all display in quiz "Preview" (the 36 questions students will see). When I click "Keep editing this quiz" half the questions disappear -- so I cannot edit them. Have used multiple browsers, cleared cache, rebooted computer, etc. Still cannot locate and hence edit these "missing questions.". The questions must reside somewhere, as they appear in the quiz "Preview."

I have right-clicked Questions to open in a new tab or window. Still the same problem.

@sdb22 I would reach out directly to Canvas support on this matter. In the meantime, what happens if you make a copy of the quiz?

I cleared cache again and rebooted. Then created a copy. Thought it solved the problem, but Canvas just duplicated 7 template questions! (I typed in as a placeholder to edit later). Maybe I'll just delete the multiple choice section and retype everything.

Are the questions in a Bank and are the questions getting pulled for a Question Group?

Hi, I simply selected Classic Quiz and added questions to the quiz -- so, not pulled from a Question Group.

When you say the questions "disappear", could it be that perhaps just the details are hidden?

When editing, multiple choice questions only show the "text" of the question until you press the edit button on that question. If the question only has options, but no "text", then it will only show up as:

and if you hover over it, then you will see the edit and delete options:

Questions appear in Preview, do not appear in Keep editing this quiz. Can't hover over anything because nothing there. Time to delete and retype everything! So efficient!
