Hi All,

Having issues with a Quiz. It is NOT retaining the Students correct answers when they go back to correct a wrong answers.

I have gone in after their first  attempt and reset the QUIZ settings to Build on last attempt. I ticked the Enable build on last attempt  input box.

But still the Quiz does not retain correct answers for another attempt.

Please help.

If you reset a student's Canvas quiz, then they have to redo all the questions.

Maybe you can set the quiz to allow multiple attempts, ask them to open the old attempt in one window and take the new attempt in another window?

Hi @Carmelo2022,

I believe you may need to enable the "build on last attempt" option before students start taking the quiz the first time. I can't find anything that specifically states this in a guide right now, but from a programming perspective it makes sense to me that some different processing is done upon quiz submission.  Could you try that on a future quiz and let us know the results.  It may not fix the existing quiz, but it would be a good thing to know and something we could suggest to add to the guides in the future if it's true.
