Registration & confirmation

I allow self-enrollment (registration) in my course. However, I notice two things which annoying:

1- Users can register with the wrong email address format. There is no verification of the input data in the email address field. 

2- Canvas allow the users to start the course before the confirmation process for the email address.

For example, a user can input a typo mistake email as (xx@gmail.con), and canvas allows the user to browse the course!! What will happen next? the user will not be able to log in again and will need to enrol again.

I think canvas should do better in the verification and confirmation process and not allow the users to commence the course before that.

Since there does not appear to be a way to do this in Canvas, I suggest reaching out to your local administration and ask them to work with your csm to see if something can be implemented to achieve this.
