Repeating an assignment

I am trying to modify and reassign a previously completed quiz for review purposes.  Because the assignment is from a previous grading period with student submissions, Canvas is not allowing me to modify the point value even though I have changed the number of questions and point value of each questions  I tried making a copy of the assignment, but I can't seem to modify the copy either.  Surely I am not going to have to cut and paste all of the stimuli and questions into a new assignment in order to make this work.

@19016 What method did you use for copying the quiz? Is this a classic Quiz or New Quiz? Have you tried copying it into a sandbox course, making changes there, and importing it back into the course?

Depending on how many questions are involved, you could think about putting them in Question/Item Banks and then creating the new version from the bank.

@19016 Hi, you mention "previous grading period" -- does your institution have Grading Periods set in Canvas? If so, you won't be able to edit these assignments because the due date is not in a current grading period. If this is the case you will need someone with admin powers (either at the subaccount level or your institution Canvas admin) to go in and delete the due date so that you're able to edit the assignment.
