Resubmission Date on Assignment

I like that we can allow students the opportunity to resubmit an assignment from the first assignment, which means handling the gradebook works much better. 

However, the fact that we can't set a date for this is pretty silly. Students miss this date all the time because we train them into looking for due dates for assignments. So it would be really great if we could set a 'due date' for the resubmission!

This sounds like you would want an enhancement to the way assignments currently work.  If that is the case, I would suggest that you submit this as a Feature Idea here in the Community.  (You've posted this in the area of the Community to ask questions about Canvas.)  Here are some Guides that can help get you started in this process:

Hmmm...I've contacted one of our Community Managers about this, because you should be able to create new Feature Ideas.  Please send an e-mail to community@instructure.com and include the link/URL to your Community profile, and they will take a look for you.  Thanks!
