Scrolling left on grades window exits grades

I have many items in my gradebook, so I have to scroll horizontally in the grades window to get to all of the assignments. If I'm way on the right side of the gradebook and quickly scroll left to the far edge of the window, I'm kicked out of the grades screen and am sent back to the home screen. This is super annoying! Is there a way to disable this "feature"?

This might be a built in feature in your computer.  For example, if you're on a mac

System Preferences -> Trackpad -> More Gestures

will take you the trackpad gestures where you can disable this on your computer.

I get to More Gestures, but then what is it exactly I am disabling?

For the "Swipe between pages" option, "Swipe with Three Fingers" is the best choice to avoid inadvertently paging back or forward when browsing. (The other options do things with two fingers, but scrolling also uses two fingers.)
