Separate Grouping for SSO using Azure

We are in the process of changing systems to Jenzabar One which includes moving to Azure for SAML login.

My question is: Is there a way to set up authentication in Canvas to recognize separate groups for login?

For example:

1. Students will use email login using format: studentname@student.rts.edu

2. Faculty/Staff will use email login using format: staffname@rts.edu

So is there a way to set things up on the Canvas side and/or Azure side to account for these distinct groups?

It looks like its possible to use "discovery page" in the SSO settings under Authentication in canvas settings. So if you wanted to use both, you could do this to set up two separate authentication providers. It eventually, if you dig deep enough, allows you to look at a github page with an example from the author with different user types:

You can also visit https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Admin-Guide/How-do-I-configure-third-party-authentication-provide.... It looks like you may be able to "add an attribute". and have users log on with different attributes.

Or, you could manually change these by going and following this guide:

but thats usually meant for single students
