Sort by Term

I need my assignments to be sorted by grading term.  In my gradebook, I can put in a date window but in assignments, I do not have any option.  I had this option last year and this will create problems as I continue.

How do I turn this feature on?

Hi @wbyrd,

I'm going to assume when you say "grading term" that you mean what Canvas calls "grading periods."

If that assumption is correct, I don't recall ever being able to sort the gradebook by a grading period, but you can filter down to a single grading period if that helps. You could also sort by due date, assuming your assignments all have a due date, which combined with the grading period filter may get you what you're looking for.

Hi Chris,

This was a feature because I used this feature in class and trained my students on how to use it.

It was suggested to me to create another assignment group and drop them there for the first term or grading period so that they are out of the way.  With seven preps, this process is just one more step to many but it does work.
