While in speedgrader, you must go out of it back to the main gradecenter to go and grade an additional assignment. Would be helpful if you could toggle through assignments while in speedgrader. I've attached an image of what I think would work well, and could be right under the student name option to arrow left or right to next student, but a link to do the same for assignments.

I like the idea of being able to switch assignments while in Speedgrader. It looks like you are not alone in that suggestion. I would suggest submitting this as an idea for a feature. When looking in the Ideas page, I see a similar idea here: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Ideas/SpeedGrader-Ability-to-move-through-all-assignments-... That one has been around since 2015 with 14 pages of requests, so clearly a desired feature.
This idea appears to have been added to a Theme for improving grading features: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Themes/Make-grading-more-efficient-and-effective/idi-p/552...
Since it has been added to a theme, that means at some point, that theme may be open to voting (a select group of themes usually are opened to voting usually in February and October). With enough votes, the theme (and the associated features) get added to the agenda for Canvas techs to explore implementation.
