Student response to discussion appears blank to teacher

Student is making a response in a discussion and can show screenshots of what she submitted. Intermittently, her responses appear blank to me. If I go to “edit” her blank response, I see what she has submitted.

In addition to the info that @JessicaDeanSVC provided, I might also suggest you clearing your browser history/cache. After that, close your browser. Then, re-start the browser and log back in to Canvas. See if anything has changed for the better. If not, then you might want to reach out to Canvas Support.
