I posted an assignment where student s needed to annotate a pdf. out of a class of ~15, 3 submitted the document on the 1st attempt but only 1 had the information he typed in follow the document to me. The other 2 online submissions were blank.
I only gave them option to annotate the file I loaded.
Is there a trick to uploading a pdf to be annotated and then getting the info added by students to be saved?

Hi @MalcomParadise,
Did you set the assignment up as a "student annotation" submission type, as outlined in the How do I add or edit details in an assignment? - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com) guide, or did you perhaps just set it up as file submission? I think the annotation submission type should work well in general, but the file upload type may be problematic as different PDF programs handle filling things out very differently (sometimes save works, sometimes it doesn't, etc).
