We have a number of courses that were created from templates (the Enable course as Course Template is selected in Settings).
There is something new happening. When we copy a course created from a template, it's copying the course itself AND all of the template content, as well.
This is new and was not happening previously.
Any idea what's going on and/or how to fix this? Thanks!

Hi @MGX3000
When you set a Canvas account or subaccount to use a template course, then the contents of that template course are automatically copied into every new course that is created in that account/subaccount. See "How do I select a course template in an account?".
If you copy a course using "Copy this course", that creates a new course within whichever subaccount you select. If that subaccount is using a template course, that template is also copied into that new course, even if the template was previously included in the course that you are copying from.
Hi @MGX3000,
Everything that @mzimmerman said about course templates is accurate. I would recommend that you check out How do I enable a course as a course template? - Instructure Community - 463700 and Course Content Distribution Comparison - Instructure Community - 387051 for more information.
