The assignment and all student submissions disappeared

A week ago, I downloaded all student submissions (files) for an assignment. I am not ready to re-upload the graded files, and the assignment has disappeared (along with all submissions). Is there any way to recover the original assignment and submissions, OR can I recreate the assignment, and then is there a way to upload each graded file (in a batch or individually) and post to each student if the original files aren't there? Thanks.

Hello @celenard I would recommend seeing it you can recover the assignment. If it got deleted somehow it can be found by adding "/undelete" to the url after the course number. For example:
school.instructure.com/courses/12345/undelete.
The assignment will hopefully show there and you can restore it.
