Virtual Data Rom / Secure Digital Files - Currently using Digify - Can Canvas do this?

Hello - we are currently using Digify as our virtual data room. We direct students to Digify to print out their student manuals and check the box to acknowledge that the manual is protected. They are then given the option to print directly without downloading.
Is there an option inside Canvas that functions as a Virtual data room or secure data room of sorts?

Hi @AlyceaUngaro,
I don't think Canvas has anything identical to this built into the system, but perhaps there is a 3rd party solution that would integrate with Canvas via the Learning Tool Interoperability (LTI) standard. Generally, any time a file is viewed/available in Canvas, it could be downloaded. You could set an assignment up for students to acknowledge that they did view/download/print the file though. I guess it would depend if you need every exact piece of that functionality or not.
