Hello,

I am blind and use my computer in windows high contrast mode (I've tried canvas high contrast mode, it is not as robust or accessible).  However, there are lines running through the words.  It looks like formatting doesn't quite line up.  I've attached a picture.

I've tried immersive reading, but it is really awful and you do not have access to links in immersive reader, and it does not save your preferenc

I've tried using Chrome and edge, but both look like same.

I am beyond frustrated as I have spent many hours trying to make this work.  Any help?

Hello @KimberleePalm -

Thank you for sharing this feedback with Instructure! I learned from one of our Accessibility Engineers that there is a known issue with Windows 11's high contrast mode. We are actively working on a fix and hope to resolve the issue soon!

With screen readers and Canvas, we recommend using a full feature screen reader like NVDA.  Immersive Reader is only for reading comprehension so it doesn't read or interact with any elements other than just text.

I hope this helps!
