accidentally deleted roll call attendance form modules how to restore

Hello,

I accidentally deleted "roll call attendance" from Canvas Modules. I can still take attendance, but I can no longer see it in grades. I tried re-created an attendance group and giving it the proper percentage, but still nothing appears. Any suggestions?

I do not use attendance, so I do not know exactly how it relates to other items in Canvas. 

However, there  is one thing you can try to do and that is use the undelete option.

go to the home page of your course and then put  /undelete at the end of the url.  You can use that to retrieve deleted items from the course.  I am not sure if that will work with the attendance issue you have, but it is a quick easy try.

Thanks, but unfortunately, this doesn't work. It's really weird. I can still take attendance and even create a new attendance assignment, which shows the attendance page, yet it won't seem to transfer percentage-wise to their grades page. I may end up having to manually calculate all of this at the end of the semester. It's truly weird.

There is an instructor guide page that talks about this issue - not sure if it will help any, but I provided the link just in case you had not seen it.

In the guide it says not to delete the assignment - so I guess now we know what happens when you do.

Good luck in figuring it out.  You may have to get some help from technical support to straighten it out.
