The answer above only goes so far as to address how to export a quiz as a qti file. You (and I) need to export it into a CVS (Excel) file. (In my case, I am moving a Canvas assessment into a Microsoft Form, which will not accept qti files.) So, here is the process I used. (I believe this only works in New Quizzes, so if you are in a Classic Quiz, first migrate it to a New Quiz using the Migrate button for the quiz settings from the Quizzes index page.
- Starting from a New Quizzes quiz, go to the Build page where you can see the quiz questions.
- Instead of clicking to Export, go to the three vertical dots (Settings icon) in the far upper-right corner.
- Click on the three dots to open the Settings dropdown menu.
- Select Print Key (With Answers).
- Follow the prompt to choose your preferred text size.
- You will now have the option to print the quiz as a Word or PDF file and download it onto your device.
Once you have the PDF, you can use an online file converter to change the Word doc into an Excel (CVS) file. You can just copy/paste the content into an Excel file, but you would have to fix the formatting. Instead, I used the free Adobe Acrobat online conversion tool here: https://www.adobe.com/acrobat/online/pdf-to-excel.html
Follow the prompts in the tool to convert the PDF file into Excel, and you should have what you need!
