how to add a due date and score to a Journal (Discussion) entry

Hello! I have a journal entry in my imported course that does not have the option for a due date or a score (in the gradebook). This is my first time using Canvas at my school. Any advice is welcome.

Would it be possible to share any screenshots of the discussion while it "edit" mode so that we can see its settings?
