incomplete/complete discussion

I have set up a discussion with my class and I have it graded for incomplete/complete. when i sync it to my gradebook for my county it shows up as a E letter grade because the possible points i put as 0 but it didn't change my students grade but i don't want my students to look at their gradebook and see an E on an assignment. please help!

Hi,  @rachel_a_stream . I'm not sure about the software your county uses and most of the other community members likely will not be either, but we can definitely help with the Canvas side of things! If I am understanding correctly, you have set up a graded discussion worth zero points and set the "display grade as" for "complete/incomplete." When you view your Canvas Gradebook, do you see the "check icon" for the students who have participated in the discussion as described in How do I use the icons and colors in the Gradebook? If so, I think things are working as intended but I am curious why the point value is set to 0 if you intend for this to contribute to their overall course grade.
