quiz on canvas

I attempted to create new questions for the quiz on canvas. The error message came up, "Question text is too long, max length 16384 characters. I do not have that much and a question only contains 14 words. The quiz is supposed the last quiz in 12 sequence quizzes on canvas.

Are you copy and pasting from Word or some other application? I believe there is a minor issue right now that Canvas is trying to fix. There are two ways to fix it while they work on the issue - you can either type the question out manually or pasting while matching style: CMND SHFT V (on Mac) or CTRL SHFT V (on Windows) Hopefully this helps and the issue should be resolved shortly.
