The redirect tool is not showing up when you filter by name in the search bar. When I go and manually add it tells me that it has already been added, but it doesn't show up when searching for it. I need to use the redirect tool to add a google doc in my canvas course.

Hi @elizabeth_rundi.,
I'm assuming the redirect tool looks like this from your course settings -> apps area once you click on it (showing "installed"):
What this means is that you are already utilizing the redirect tool for something in your course. The good thing about the redirect tool is that you're not limited to one install. So even though you see the Installed message, you can still click the Add App button to add another instance of the redirect tool.
The other interesting bit about the redirect tool is that in the Ap Configurations area it will take on whatever name you gave when setting up the tool, so you won't see "redirect tool" but you might see something like "Class Google Doc" if that's what you named the tool.
I hope this info helps!
