speedgrader rubric with points

Hello I am trying to find a way to select the highest score in each of the categories with one single click, using rubrics in speed grader with points. The rubrics are pre-populated by my university and I would like to be able to fill them out more quickly. I do not think this functionality exist yet so I would like to ask if it could be developed easily. Thank you.

Hi @LaramiePaxton,

I don't know of a way to do that in Canvas at this time.  You could definitely request that as a future feature enhancement in the Ideas area of the community.  While I appreciate the ease a button like that would offer, I can also see a flip side that teachers could over=use that feature and not actually evaluate rubric items.  As often is the case with something like this, Instructure would probably need to do a little research on this.  It's also possible that someone could write some custom javascript code to create that functionality for those who want it, but I know that's usually quite an undertaking.

thank you so much Chris. That's what I thought. It looks like I don't have a high enough rank to add that to the ideas list. Is that something you would be willing to do so that instructure can evaluate this?

Hi @LaramiePaxton,

If you browse around the community a bit and perhaps wait one more day, you should then be able to post in the ideas area (you need to be a community member rank to post an idea, requirements listed at How do I rank up in the Instructure Community? - Instructure Community ).  It's not something I usually do for others as it would mix my own ideas with those that aren't really mine and cause me a lot of confusion.  Hopefully you understand, I do apologize that new Community users aren't able to post ideas right away.
