As an instructor, am I supposed to have the to-do events option in calendar? From the canvas instructor guides and videos I have seen, to-do events option in calendar does not show. Why does it show for me? I am not enrolled as a student in any course. Please see the attached.

Hi @PheelloMakhele,
Yes, that guide is addressing a course calendar. The My To Do applies to your own personal calendar in Canvas, not the course calendar which is shared with all of the students in the class. That's why you see a difference there.

Hi @PheelloMakhele,
While it doesn't seem like the guides specifically state this, as far as I know in my years as a Canvas admin, the "My To Do" option is available to any Canvas user, regardless of their roles in a course. When creating a My To Do, it should end up on your own personal Canvas calendar, not on for a specific course.
Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for clearing this confusion, @chriscas. Please see the screenshot I attach here - it doesn't have the 'My To Do' option. I took the screenshot from this here: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-add-an-event-to-a-course-calendar/ta-p/...
