Add videos to studio that are NOT YouTube or Vimeo

It appears that I can only add YouTube or Vimeo videos in Studio.  How can I add videos/video links that are not available via Vimeo or YouTube (i.e., Kanopy, Ted Talks) ?

Hi @LidiaHuerta -

According to What file formats does Canvas Studio support?, those are the only video hosting sites currently supported with Canvas Studio. Once you reach the Community Member rank, you can request that additional sites/formats be supported by creating an idea in Canvas Ideas and Themes.

I know this is likely not the solution you were looking for, but I hope it was helpful as you explore the tool.

Have you searched YouTube to see if the TED Talks video(s) you are looking for is/are available there?  You might be able to find that video and then add it to your Canvas Studio library.  Just a thought.

In addition to the info already given by @KristinL and @Chris_Hofer, I wanted to point out that there apps you may be able to install into your course or ask your local Canvas team to install for you that would add some additional video embedding options in Canvas LMS itself (not studio).  Vimeo is an example of one that is available.
