[ARCHIVED] Arc users at InstructureCon??

Hey there fellow Arc users! Is anyone interested in an informal meet up of Arc users at InstructureCon this year? My school just got Arc in May so we are total newbies and I'd love to meet up with other people to hear how things have been going, what works, what doesn't work, what features we'd really really like to see, etc...

So what do you think? Will you be there? Are you interested in this??

We are in process of purchasing ARC, and I am very interested in get an information about this program, best practices, and issues  as much as possible. It would be great if  ARC users could meet to share their experience in using this program. I'll gladly join the meeting.

 @ibagdasa , sounds good! I’m going to do what I can to pull some more people together and try to plan something. I’d really like a chance to talk “Arc” with people!

I would love to join! We are still implementing Canvas but we have had good experiences with Arc in our faculty Canvas training course and a lot of positive responses from faculty who have been trained in Arc. We'd be happy to share our experience with the system and see how others are using it, especially those who have used it in live Canvas environments with students.

I first used Arc this spring creating summer courses for our high school students in Orange County (FL). I am really impressed with the features available, and we just added the screencasting and editing tools--great features there that I've only scratched the surface exploring. I'd also be interested in hearing/seeing more at InstructureCon.

I'm in!  Name the place and time!  We've had ARC for the past year, but given the events of last summer and fall, I wasn't able to train my faculty fully in it's use and ability.  This year....GAME ON!

What day/times would work best for this meet-up? Will people be around Tuesday before the conference starts? Want to try something for lunch or breakfast? I'm arriving Monday afternoon and will be there until Friday afternoon (for the Unconference!!!) so I'm open to what works best for everyone. 🙂

I will be arriving Monday afternoon as well. I have the Canvassador lunch on Tuesday afternoon, but other than that I am open to whatever.

I just went back to the email I got from Jenny and it's showing Wednesday from 11:30am-1:30pm. I also checked the Google Doc and it's showing Wednesday as well - PS, if you haven't signed up already make sure to do that! 🙂

Not sure what doc you are referencing but already have a meeting at that time on Wednesday.  Sorry I will miss.

tross, Wednesday was the Canvassador lunch - which is the doc I was referencing - we haven't decided on a time yet for the Arc get together. When are you available?

Makes sense.  Wed is the only scheduled meeting I have so I am good with what works for the majority.

We have just purchased Arc, but won't have it in place until the start of our Fall semester. I'd love to hear how institutions are rolling it out and using it. Ok for me to join the meetup?

(Hopefully this year I won't be as sick as I was last year when I missed your Canvas Intelligence Exchange session.)

 @rsasso , yes, it's absolutely ok for you to join us! Even if you haven't officially rolled it out, everything we are talking about would be of interest to you as future Arc user. Right now it's looking like Tuesday late afternoon, but definitely add your information to the Doodle Poll to help with the official "best time" decision. 🙂

Great! Thank you! This year, I am going to try taking Dramamine, because even though I drank TONS last year before flying out and the day of the flight, I still got really sick.

Definitely join Rosie!  And I found that drinking Acli-Mate (found on Amazon) in your water a few days before you head out helps.  And you can purchase a little can of "oxygen" from the Keystone gift shops for $10 and take a puff of oxygen when you need it.   Mine lasted the entire week.

Hi everyone! I’ve got a time figured out for the Arc meet-up, but no solid location planned. 😞

Time is 2:00-3:30pm (mountain time) on Tuesday. This time was selected to accomodate the most people 

Location, location, location... I’ve asked and all the meeting rooms are taken by official meetings and groups (Speaking of which, we should figure out how to make this official for next year!). Logistics: We have about 18-20 people who are attending and I’m guessing people would like WiFi. If we didn’t need WiFi we could meet in front of the Adventure Center in the big covered gazebo by the lake. Or, we could meet somewhere in the conference center and then find a quiet place to sit and talk (with WiFi). 

Any ideas? Suggestions??
