Student mode - adding multiple videos

I have a student reaching out to me asking how to add multiple video files to an assignment. I don't have a way to see her view, and Canvas has changed/updated since I used it, so I'm unfamiliar with the Studio feature (maybe it has a pause/restart option I don't know about?).

Thanks!

Hi there @MegFletch ,

I don't believe that it is possible to submit multiple Studio videos at once for an assignment, as it appears you can only change which video you want to submit after embedding one into the submission. I'd recommend allowing multiple submissions, or having your student add the videos as raw files instead of through Studio if you need her to submit multiple files.

I'm sorry that I don't have a better answer for you!

Hi @MegFletch,

If the assignment has its submission type set to "Online" and if "Text Entry" is selected from "Online Entry Options", students will have access to the Rich Content Editor (RCE).

From the RCE, students would have the ability to use the "Studio" icon and could submit more than video. Students would just need to make sure that they use the "Studio" icon two times to select two different videos in their Studio library (or record themself) before clicking on the "Submit Assignment" button.
