Studio: Audio stops when browser not on screen

I am an instructor trying to use Studio to record class lectures for students unable to attend class. The audio/video works fine as long as the Chrome browser is on my computer screen, but when I minimize the browser window in order to show a PowerPoint presentation for the class, I find that the audio has stopped recording when I play back the video after class. The video is unaffected, and the sound was working before the window switch was made. Our university just adopted Studio, so I’m inexperienced, so maybe there’s a setting issue? I need to be able to use Studio to record classes (using the classroom camera/mic), while projecting PowerPoint using the same computer.
