Course Pacing and Section Assignment

I noticed when Course Pacing is enabled, I can no longer assign assignments to specific sections of a course. My plan was to use sections to only display specific assignments to specific sections. It works fine with Course Pacing off, but I lose the option with it on.

@jmart We are working on a longer term solution that will reenable that ability for you in the future. In order to get Course Pacing into prod sooner and to give us time to consider the complexity of the needs around this, we took away that functionality. We hope to solve this in the future so that you can get the most out of Course Pacing.

Like @jmart-iet, I am also interested in this feature. It has been 2.5 years since this post. Have there been any developments on this feature being restored within Course Pacing, @AllisonHowell?

Three years later... has there been any progress on this? Being able to use "assign to" for specific sections, with assignment pacing, would save me about 30 of hours of work each quarter.
