When using Speedgrader and grading with a rubric, the newer interface in Canvas is a little off. A user needs to slide the window to the left so that there is enough space. I am wondering if you can make the submit buttons left aligned so that they are seen in the window. I am constantly adjusting the size of the window in this new feature. It is either Speedgrader or Enhanced Rubrics.

Others will be able to respond with the information for either reporting this as a "bug" or need of improvement or a suggestion for an improvement in Canvas. I will suggest that you go to your settings link for the course, then click on feature options and see if you have the option to turn on/off enhanced rubrics. I have that capability at my institution. So you can go back to the old rubric system. Not sure if that helps any, but thought I would throw it out there for you.

in the benelux, this problem has been raised as well. Adding to that, it seems that the enhanced rubrics builder allows for multilple layout features within the criteria, but these seem to get lost when the rubric is displayed in the speedgrader
@Ron_Bowman @mmoore1 @quinten_verdonc Thank you all for the feedback. Have you tried adjusting the rubric view? In SpeedGrader, you can select from Horizontal and Vertical views which significantly reduce the amount of scrolling required when grading.
yes, but as far as we can see, adapting the view also makes the description of the levels for each criterium less visible. Often our faculty needs the description of each level to correctly score students work
@quinten_verdonc , @YasiAfsharnive ...
Along those lines, it would be super helpful if, mousing over a criterion score when grading in horizontal or vertical view would display the description. Requiring instructors to select a score in order to see the description defeats the benefit of the new, more compact and efficient UI. I thought I recalled a mouseover behavior like this previously, but if it existed at one time, it seems to be gone now.
@leward @quinten_verdonc Interesting points, thank you both for sharing. I can definitely take the hover v. clicking suggestion back to the team, I'm not familiar with the previous behavior. We are working making comments and criteria collapsible and expandable in traditional view to help reduce scrolling for instructors who want all of that information visible.
I noticed that in vertical view, the descriptions aren't immediately apparant, you have to click on the option to view the description. Is there anyway of ensuring the description always displays?
@b_w_reid In an effort to preserve space, we decided not to show the descriptions at all times. From what we heard, graders often know the criteria requirements pretty well after grading a few, so the point of this view is to expedite the workflow when needed. But appreciate the suggestion and we'll definitely keep it in mind!
