When setting up an unscored/0pts rubric, the set display order is not retained.
1) Order set for criterion
2) Order not retained in display of rubric
That's not an unscored rubric, it's a scored rubrics with 0 points possible for each rating. When you create a new rubric, there's a dropdown labeled Scoring which allows you to set it as scored or unscored. You can set it to unscored and it will not have the option to put points but it will still have display numbers to show the ranking.
I also have a screenshot of the difference between a scored rubric and an unscored rubric.
Thanks! You're right 🙃 I've been experimenting with so many iterations I got myself confused!
The Instructors do not want to assign points, yet still want to be able to use the rubric in grading. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be way to grade this without showing points. 🫤 Back to the drawing board!
I can definitely relate 🙂 and yeah the display numbers can be a bit misleading, while it won't "grade" the assignment, it does still have an order from "most favorable" to "least favorable" in reviewing the student's work. But still, it shouldn't change the order like in your picture. Maybe try a hard refresh (ctrl+ shift + r) or clear cache?
Hi there, poking my head in here as I have the same question. I'm still unsure why the categories are not displaying in the chosen display order. I thought maybe it was defaulting to alphabetical order based on the unicode for the emojis, but that doesn't seem to be the case either.
Shouldn't the criterion display order be maintained regardless of it being a scored or unscored rubric?
