LTI Advantage testing

I am developing a LTI 1.3 Advantage tool.  I have used the Free For Teacher account to test my LTI 1.1 implementation. If I understand things correctly, I need to go to the Admin menu to add an LTI 1.3 Advantage tool, but my Free For Teacher account does not have an Admin account.

Do I need Admin access to be able to add an LTI 1.3 Advantage tool?

If so, can I do that on the Free For Teacher account?

If not, is there any other way I can test my too with canvas?

I am not super familiar with that LTI, but it sounds like you are on the right track! 

to answer your question, there is not a way to get an admin account in the FFT instance, unfortunately.  This is because that instance is just a general instance for non paid features. 

If your school pays for an instance, you can always try and test that out there.

Thank you Colton for your answer.  My problem is that I cannot get my school to pay for an instance, because I am not with a school.  Schools are my customers, and they are asking me to develop an LTI 1.3 Advantage app for their implementation of Canvas.  Does Canvas have a version of their program for app developers?

I believe the option you are looking for is to become a partner where you may have access to a sandbox for developing your apps to integrate with Canvas. Here is a link to the Canvas partnership details:
