Description
This presentation explores how generative AI can provide personalized professional development for university faculty. By analyzing course transcripts, LMS documents, and curriculum maps, AI personalizes faculty feedback by identifying specific teaching strategies the instructor has employed, linking them to educational theories and course objectives.
Faculty receive structured feedback after each lecture, including curriculum alignment, time allocation per learning objective, and actionable suggestions for improvement. AI-generated examples include direct links to key moments in lecture videos, enabling targeted reflection on course design.
Initial studies show strong faculty engagement and endorsement from the university’s Center for Research on Learning and Teaching, which sees this as a valuable supplement to existing support. This service will soon be available to institutions through a broader rollout.
