As the Academic Strategy Team, we’ve spent the past year researching trends, attending conferences and gathering insights with customers and educational leaders across the educational landscape.

In this workshop we’ll share the journey of Northeastern University’s adoption of Canvas Credentials Pathways, highlighting the key factors that prompted our decision.

Artificial Intelligence is transforming how students learn and prepare for their futures. This session explores how two universities launched two AI-driven student engagement series that both leveraged Canvas.

How do you meet the diverse needs of all your learners? With the transformative potential of modern classrooms, how do you use technology in purposeful ways to get you to the core of what learning is about - connection, interaction and relationships?

This presentation will demonstrate how schools and/or districts should go about planning the implementation of Canvas, and how to train teachers to use it successfully with students.

Supported by research about assessment best practices and chock full of useful tips and how-to information, this presentation highlights ways instructors of any discipline can use New Quizzes features with other Canvas tools in innovative ways to create more authentic, engaging, higher-cognitive-level assessments that promote learning—while still saving time grading large numbers of students.

By leveraging Canvas to support the whole learner, students can gain comfort and confidence in their school life and learning paths, freeing them up to focus on more personal things. Canvas can be structured to help them organize their learning and navigate their growing responsibilities.

This session will explore how to leverage Canvas's features to create inclusive learning experiences that cater to diverse learners through the power of the new Universal Design for Learning (UDL) 3.0 guidelines while also complying with the latest accessibility standards. As artificial intelligence rapidly evolves, online learning institutions must proactively address both its challenges and opportunities. Over the past 18 months, Montana Digital Academy (MTDA) has developed a comprehensive approach to AI use in student learning, balancing innovation with academic integrity.

At the University of Birmingham, UK, we have partnered with Canvas as our VLE provision since 2013. As our usage has evolved it has become the central platform for our ecosystem, with additional tools incorporated for assessment in STEM, lecture capture, search, and collaboration.
