Is there a way to turn off the item navigation when students are taking a test, so they cannot go back to a question they have already answered? For example, a math test where only some questions have a calculator enabled, but you don't want them to be able to navigate back to the calculator for non-calculator allowed questions.

There is no way to turn off the navigation for students taking a test. However, if your district were designing and giving a benchmark, those can now be designed with sections, where some sections can have a calculator, and students cannot go back to calculator sections from non-calculator sections. For formative assessments, the addition of sections could help. It is a good suggestion, which you could propose via the Submit a Support ticket form. I hope this helps!
