I teach the same course at two different colleges and want to use my Item Banks at both places. I don't see a way to export/import Item Banks and they are not included in a full-course export file.
Is there a simple way to do this?
If not, is there a multi-step process to do this for each Item Bank individually?
Thanks,
Maryanne
Hello @mashults ! Since the 2 colleges will be in 2 different instances, I think you need to (LONG workaround), make your item banks into quizzes, and then go into your Settings and export your quizzes. You can save these exports on your computer, and then import them into your other course. This link should help.
That worked fine with Classic Quizzes, but not with New Quizzes (and Question Banks vs. Item Banks). I'd be happy even I could "reverse migrate" the questions from an Item Bank back to a Question Bank! I thought I kept all of those when I originally migrated them, but I can't find them. Thanks for the suggestion though; I really appreciate your time! 🙂
@mashults the migrating back and forth will not be "easy" until New Quizzes is fully within Canvas and NOT an LTI. Once I made a quiz from Classic and migrated it to New, I went in to each question and added it to a bank. That's A LOT of work, but it's all I know to do right now. I do know that, according to the timeline, they are working on mass migration of quizzes and banks!
