Improvements are coming for Item Banks Management this March.
We’re continuing to make adjustments to Item Banks based upon your feedback. During our user interviews for migration of Classic Quizzes to New Quizzes, it became clear we need ways to improve the experience when there are many pages of Item Banks.
The verbiage of several item bank filter names are changing to more clearly indicate what will be returned in those filters.
Current |
Changed to |
Purpose |
All My Banks |
All Banks |
Every bank the signed in user has access to. The filter shows all banks the user has created as well as all shared to the user, both directly and through shared via course. |
All My Course Banks |
Banks Shared to Course |
Banks shared to courses are accessible by all teachers in the course. *Use this filter when you have item banks shared to all the teachers in a course and wish to use in another course |
As all migrated question banks are automatically shared with the teachers of the course they are used in, making these easier for all to find is a priority.
A new filter will be introduced as the default filter when navigating to an Item Bank from within a course. “This Course” filter will show any Item Banks used in the course which the logged in user has permission to see (share settings of view or edit). This will make it easier to quickly find and make any adjustments to the Item Banks which are being used for a quiz in the course.
