Hi
In assessment situations, our organisation currently uses observations quite extensively for assessing Performance Tasks. Moving the format of current assessment templates to the Canvas rubric has proven to be quite challenging, due to the lack of any sort of enhanced editing/formatting capabilities within the rubric.
It is not really satisfying our requirements as it stands. Not sure if there are any others in this VET space that have any thoughts on this. Just an embedded RCE would be a good start.
The reason for this post, is if you would like to see some development in this space, there is a post up on the Idea exchange if you would like to contribute/rate
Hyperlinks and Basic Formatting in Rubrics - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
thanks and regards
Andrew
Also looking at not populating the Learning Mastery colours to criteria when the remove points option is selected would be great. This would allow us to use the criteria ratings for observation locations etc. ratings that are not aligned to outcomes.
Example: If you create a rubric with criteria only, remove the points and there are three ratings then the student will see green, yellow and red against the rating selection. This is related to the traffic light system we applied to our outcomes however we are selecting criteria within the rubric, not outcomes. Please see student view in attached image if the learning mastery colours filter trough to criteria ratings in rubrics when the points are removed.
