Meet Mary Jane, an instructional design and technology specialist with the Office for University Online Education Services, who has worked primarily at Rutgers University Camden since October 2022. With a rich background in education, she has worked with learners of all ages and backgrounds, from preschool to middle school, high school, college, and beyond. Beginning her career as a nutritional educator for adults, Mary Jane transitioned into public education. Certified as a Family and Consumer Science and Pre-K - 3 teacher, she has nine years of public school teaching experience under her belt. Mary Jane is also an adjunct instructor, teaching an undergraduate course on sustainable fashion she designed in an online asynchronous format for Stockton and as a face-to-face seminar course for the Honors College at Rutgers Camden.
Mary Jane's educational journey reflects her multidisciplinary approach. She holds an MA in Instructional Technology from Stockton University, a BS in Applied Nutrition from Penn State, a BS in Textile Development and Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology, and an AAS in Fashion Design from Rowan College at Burlington County. Currently, she is pursuing a doctorate in education with a concentration in the design of learning environments at the Rutgers Graduate School of Education.
