Hi,
Is it possible to use API to create a temporary enrollment pairing, to enroll someone into a course via a provider?
There is an enrollment pairing object, but it doesn't include the recipient or provider. API temporary_enrollment_pairings. There is an ability to display the status of a user in regard to pairings. API show_temporary_enrollment_status
I hope this is coming soon, Instructure, any plans for this?

Hi @Nancy_Webb_CCSF,
Background for context:
I have looked at the API change log for 2023, 2024, and 2025 and I do not see any references to this functionality.
I do see references to it in SIS Import Format Documentation but not in How do I format CSV text files for uploading SIS data into a Canvas account?.
I briefly browsed through the Canvas Product Roadmap but could not find anything (maybe something exists with text I did not consider).
From what I can see, an API object does not seem to be on their radar.
Unless someone else has any insight, I would suggest connecting with your CSM and asking them.

Thank you dbrace. I sure appreciate your fast and thorough response. We'll try the csm. Maybe we can make the SIS route work for us; hadn't thought of that since we currently use API and a flow for our situation.
The blog you link to seems to imply this is in place of APIs. We will probably create a Canvas idea when it's possible.
You are welcome @Nancy_Webb_CCSF!.
