Ability for students to Like teacher announcements

I was wondering if  it is possible for students to "like" or react to teacher announcements, and not just to the replies.

Yes, it is possible for students to "like" an announcement but only if the instructor enables the setting when creating the announcement.

Below is a screenshot the specific option while creating/editing an announcement.
